  • First song I can remember jumping around to was 'Baggy Trousers' by Madness
  • Listened to Dad's collection of Jimi Hendrix, Dire Straits and T-Rex when younger.
  • After hearing an Eric Clapton song being played by a friend in an art class at school got turned into the guitar, since then never looked back
  • After only eight months of playing guitar self-taught I got accepted onto an HND course at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. After a year of studying and being surrounded by great musicians knew guitar would be a big part of my life.
  • I Met Eric Clapton once at a cricket match and told him what an influence he had been on me.
  • Learning a new instrument is a great way for building confidence, rasing self esteem and most importantly having fun
  • I have played in successful bands over the years and played many different styles and I want to pass the knowledge I have learnt onto you.

Your Questions to the teacherbeen teaching?
1. How long have you been teaching guitar?

I have been teaching for 6 years with 3 years teaching in Devon to well over 50 students with some reaching over 75 lessons so they keep coming back learning and developing. Some have gone on to study at music schools around the country.


 2. What qualifications do you have?

I have a H.N.D in Contempoary Music from the A.C.M in Guildford which is an accredited school of music


 3. Can you provide references?

 4. Have you undergone a CRB check?

I have undergone a C.R.B.full disclosure check

5. Do you use a contract between you and your students?

Yes I am a member of the Musicians Union and use a private teaching contract, this protects yours and my best interests and shows that I am a legitimate teacher.


 6. Do you have policies such as late cancellation charges?

A minimum of 24 hours notice is needed, otherwise payment in full is required.


7. Is the tuition compatible to my needs and/or specific musical interests?

lessons are structured to engage and inspire you the student. The styles and songs are chosen by the you so you progress quicker. I use a mixture of tools to help you understand music better and enjoy it more.


 8. Do you have experience in preparing students for the grades such as RGT or Rock School?

I Can help students prepare for Grading if requested


 9. Are you willing to teach groups as well as individual students?

I Can teach groups but an arrangement for fees on discussion


 10. Are you willing to travel or do you teach from home only?

I currently do home tuition, this seems to suit most people.
